Lucky Gesture

Fingers crossed in agony by a valiant force. Resisting unsuccessfully. Elbows shot up and back rapidly. Pain rising exponentially. Hip crushed, sending the body to the ground. Pinned down, a broken bone, there's only letting go. Started with a lucky gesture, but that's all it needed- a gesture.
